In what we believe is a pivotal time for our church, we want to offer relevant resources to encourage and build us up. Here's a selection of books that have been nominated by bookshop managers, publishers and authors for churches who are in our situation - they've been (or are being) read by church leaders and/or members and come with their recommendation.

Love Your Church - as we recover and rebuild, this is a perfect book to remind ourselves what church is about and what privileges and responsibilities we have as church members. It's very well written, based on solid foundations and avoids any leaning to one denomination or another. Being a bit long in the tooth now, I approached this book without very high expectations but I found it both motivating and challenging.

The 8 chapters cover Belonging, Welcoming, Gathering, Caring, Serving, Honoring, Witnessing and Sending. It's very practical with actions to consider at the end of each  chapter plus a discussion guide at the end which could be used with a cell group or a group of friends.
